EMPORIA (KSNT) - The Lyon County Sheriff's Office took to social media to warn of a scam circulating the area. According to the sheriff's office, a text scam has been circulating where scammers send people fake images of a United States District Court Warrants for "the Arrest of a Witness in a Civil Action." The sheriff's office reminded residents that it does not text people regarding warrants. Over 83 tons of ground beef recalled nationwide, illnesses reported: USDA "The scammers are asking for payment to remove the warrant," the sheriff's office said on social media. "THIS IS A SCAM!
