CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP)--An organization that provides behavioral health as well as substance use and preventative services opened up it's newest location Thursday.
City and state officials took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Gandara Center's newest location in Chicopee. Los Campeones will provide residential recovery services to 18 men in the program.
Eastern States Exposition donates beef to local food pantries
"We have now 6 residential recovery homes and even with the ones that we had there were significant wait lists so this is a nice addition to the compliment of services that we're delivering," said Lois Nesci, Gandara Center CEO.
The facility will provide mental health and substance abuse services to men from the Hispanic, African American, LGBTQ+ community as well as those involved with the criminal justice system.
