RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 17-year-old has been identified by police as the person who was found dead with a gunshot wound in Richmond's Southside Wednesday morning. At 4:22 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 2800 block of Broad Rock Boulevard for the report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found the teen lying down, unresponsive on the curb of the road. Police said the 17-year-old had an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. As police responded to the scene, they received a call for sounds of gunfire at the 5000 block of Snead Road. Police said the shooting originally happened on Snead Road and the boy was dropped off at Broad Rock Boulevard by an unknown person or people in a vehicle, leaving before officers arrived.
