Over a dozen Richmond businesses damaged by BB gun pellets in vandalism spree

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department is continuing to investigate a vandalism spree affecting local businesses. On Thursday, it provided an updated list of over a dozen active vandalism cases.
Police in both Richmond and Henrico County have been looking into incidents of vandalism involving BB gun pellets fired at local businesses -- most of them located in the area surrounding West Broad Street.
The majority of the Richmond incidents are believed to have taken place between Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16, though some incidents could have occurred as late as Monday, Nov. 18.

On Thursday, Nov. 21, the Richmond Police Department reported that it is actively investigating 14 such reports of vandalism.
Some of the affected business owners previously told 8News that they have been left with thousands of dollars in damages, which police confirmed in this Thursday update.
Below is a list of the affected locations by block, in addition to when it is believed the vandalism occurred.

2800 block of East Broad Street
Between 12:10 and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16
Three vehicles damaged in the 2600 and 2700 blocks of East Broad Street

Whether or not these incidents -- or the incidents in Henrico -- are related has not yet been confirmed by police, who continue to investigate the nature of this vandalism spree.
Police are asking the public to report any suspicious activity they may have witnessed, or that surveillance cameras they have access to may have captured.
