(WRIC) -- A deadly single-vehicle crash on a section of Interstate 95 North in Hanover County caused miles of delays on Thursday afternoon. At around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, the Virginia Department of Transportation reported that the left shoulder and left lane were closed on I-95 North near Old Ridge Road due to a crash. Virginia State Police said one person has died in the crash, which involved one vehicle. Troopers are working to identify the victim and notify the next of kin. The crash remains under investigation, according to state police. According to the department, there are four miles of delays due to the crash. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
