ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) —The Christmas Festival of Lights at La Salette Shrine is expected to open Saturday night. The annual Christmas lights display normally opens on Thanksgiving night, but since the holiday is late this year, organizers decided to start early. This year's theme is "Christ, Be Our Light" and the festival will be the largest to date, according to La Salette. With nearly 150 new light displays being added this year, the attraction is now nearing 1,000,000 bulbs. It will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day through Jan. 1. Admission is free.
