HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A serious collision in the Kapolei area on Wednesday afternoon sent an HPD solo bike officer to the hospital. Get Hawaii's latest morning news delivered to your inbox, sign up for News 2 You The bike officer was traveling westbound in the shoulder lane along Farrington Highway, approaching Laaloa Stret, when he was struck by a vehicle that was pulling off the roadway. The officer was ejected onto the roadway. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The 61-year-old motorist and his two juvenile passengers were not injured. HPD is investigating the incident.
