(WFRV) - U.S. Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad of the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced on Tuesday that a 43-year-old man from Texas was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison by Senior U.S. District Judge William C. Griesbach.
Bobby Matjeka of San Antonio was indicted by a federal grand jury in April for the charges. Court records show that Matjeka was engaged in an online conversation with an Appleton woman, encouraging her to send him sexually explicit images of her daughter who was 8 years old at the time.

Online exchanges took place over about a year surrounding the rape and sexual abuse of the woman's children. He also received images of the child continuously, while planning to install hidden cameras in her home to view the abuse.
Judge Griesbach called the offense "deplorable and despicable" at sentencing while emphasizing the effects that Matjeka's actions had on victims, thus leading to a 240-month or 20-year sentence in federal prison.
