(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Detectives with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said two minors have been arrested in connection to a series of car thefts in Colorado Springs. According to CSPD, in September 2024, Detectives with the Strategic Investigations Unit (SIU) started investigations into several thefts happening in Colorado Springs. During their investigation, detectives identified a 15-year-old boy and 12-year-old boy as the suspects who were allegedly often together during the vehicle thefts. In early November, detectives got arrest warrants for the minors. The 15-year-old is facing a charge of Motor Vehicle Theft and the 12-year-old is facing two counts of Motor Vehicle Theft.
