Quadruple shooting in French Quarter leaves one dead

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a deadly quadruple shooting in the French Quarter on Thursday, Nov. 21.
According to officers, around 12:20 p.m. they responded to the call of a shooting in the 700 block of Iberville Street.

Hammond police search for felony theft suspect after evading arrest
Upon arrival, four people, three men, and one woman, were found suffering from gunshot wounds at the corner of Iberville and Royal streets.
All victims were taken to a hospital where two were listed as stable, one person was in surgery and one man died from his injuries.
In a news conference, NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick says the vehicle involved has already been recovered and that a person of interest was taken into custody.
Kirkpatrick added that the attack was believed to be targeted.
No further details are unavailable at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's identity after and autopsy is done and the family is notified.
