White Marsh gets Dinky with it: new Dill Dinkers location to open in December

Pickleball enthusiasts in Baltimore County are about to get a second Dill Dinkers club opening in White Marsh in December.Located at 140 Merritt Way, near White Marsh Mall, the indoor pickleball franchise’s second Baltimore County club is expected to draw both residents and visitors. Dill Dinkers in White Marsh will have three dedicated championship courts and seven standard-sized courts with fences, along with an event space, a ball machine, a pro shop and a state-of-the-art reservation system powered by CourtReserve for members and visitors.The first Dill Dinkers club in Baltimore County opened in Cockeysville in July 2024.The new White Marsh Dill Dinkers club will also have clinics, private and semi-private lessons, open play, round robins, leagues, and rentals for private events for private events for players. Businesses will have the opportunity to advertise there, and host employee and client events.Pickleball was invented in 1965, but has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years, primarily attributed to COVID-19 and the desire to be outdoors and with others safely. The fastest growing demographic for the sport is the 18-24-year-old age group, and the sport is extremely popular in both Baltimore City and the surrounding counties.Dill Dinkers in White Marsh will be owned and operated by Eric Simmons and Danny Colacicco. Simmons has a background in higher education at Johns Hopkins University, and Colacicco comes with residential real estate expertise.
