Austin LBJ has lit up the scoreboard this year, averaging 52.1 points per game en route to an 11-0 record while La Vernia employs a power run game out of a spread formation to rack up 41.2 points per game. Quarterback Ali Scott averaged 25 yards per completion, racking up 330 passing yards and three touchdowns to lead LBJ to victory. Two receivers eclipsed 100 yards with Javarlyn Smith hauling in seven catches for 151 yards and Louis Hickman catching five passes for 101 yards. The Bears, on the other hand, prefer the ground game. Three players rushed for more than 100 yards in a 49-17 win over Tuloso-Midway in the opening round last week, led by Sean Garza's 199 rushing yards on 28 carries with four touchdowns. Ty Carter rushed 13 times for 131 yards and quarterback Keegan Hajek had a 77-yard touchdown run to end with 103 yards on five carries. La Vernia rushed for 470 yards on 49 carries, averaging nearly 10 yards per carry. Roger Wallace, Keith Moreland and Noah Gross will call the action live on KBVO.
