WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Detectives are asking for the community's help identifying people of interest in connection to a deadly shooting that happened in Northeast D.C. On Friday, Nov. 1, officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a shooting in the 100 block of 44th St. NE. That's where they found 28-year-old Dwaun Simpson, of Southeast, with a gunshot wound. Simpson died at the scene. DC police searching for suspects in armed robbery spree investigation As the investigation continued, detectives reviewed surveillance video of a group of people walking in the parking lot of a BP gas station, in the area of the shooting. Anyone with information about the persons of interest and shooting is encouraged to call 202-727-9099 or text MPD's Text Tip Line at 50411.
