KDOT says plan ahead for I70 closure

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will be closing part of I-70 in Downtown Topeka over the weekend as part of the Polk-Quincy Viaduct project.
According to KDOT, eastbound I-70 will be closed for pavement patching work at 11 p.m. Friday until work is completed, from Gage Boulevard to 6th Avenue. KDOT said drivers can use detours or alternate routes. KDOT said the eastbound on and off ramps in the area will also be closed. Westbound I-70 will stay open.
