SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Leilani Simon, found guilty last month on all counts in the 2022 murder of her toddler son Quinton, is set to be sentenced Thursday afternoon. After hearing from over 30 witnesses, a Chatham County jury convicted Leilani Simon of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, concealing the death of another, false report of a crime and 14 counts of making a false statement. Prosecutors said she killed him, then threw his body in a dumpster. His remains were found weeks later in a Chatham County landfill.
