MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Three men were arrested in connection to the shooting death of a southeast Shelby County homeowner who was killed while confronting suspected car burglars. Xavier King, Tedairious Willis, and Jakarius Ishmon were taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with Accessory After the Fact, Fabricating/Tampering With Evidence, and Arson after they were caught lighting a stolen car on fire. But, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office says more charges are to come in connection to a homicide that took place the same day the car was set ablaze. King, Willis, and Ishmon were found at one of the homes. Homeowner shot to death after confronting suspected burglars: SCSO Detectives identified the three men from video footage from a BP Gas Station on Third Street. King and Willis were seen filling a gas can at the station on October 21 at around 7:45 p.m. Fifteen minutes later, they were seen in the 1900 block of Indian Village Road dropping off a stolen white Honda Accord and setting it on fire. Police say the three suspects were taken into custody and admitted to taking the stolen car to the park and setting it on fire. Detectives found that the car had been used by the suspects in the killing of Fernando Jones on the same day. Additional charges are expected for the homicide. Bonds for King, Willis, and Ishom have not been set. They are scheduled to appear in court on Friday morning.
