UPDATE 3: Our ABC36 News crew on scene at Kentucky State University is reporting police have cleared the scene, but right now, there is no word from officials on the bomb threat incident.   UPDATE 2: According to a parent alert, students at Lexington Christian Academy’s Rose Campus are returning to school. Parents are urged to check their email for details and student pickup instructions. Also, in a message from the school, classes at the Rose Campus only are canceled for the rest of the day, with classes resuming Friday morning. According to the message, a bomb threat was called into the school, which was thoroughly swept by law enforcement.   UPDATE: ABC 36 NEWS has learned the lockdown has been lifted at Lexington Christian Academy. We’ll provide more updates as we learn new information.   ORIGINAL STORY: FRANKFORT and LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State University was evacuated Thursday morning following a bomb threat. Law enforcement officials are actively clearing campus buildings one at a time. Students, staff, and faculty have been advised to leave the campus immediately and report any suspicious activity to campus police or call 911. ABC 36 News crews on the scene report that officials have established a perimeter around the campus. Students are being transported to a safer location via buses as the investigation continues. In an unrelated incident, students at Lexington Christian Academy’s Rose Campus were also evacuated Thursday morning. According to a parent alert issued by the school, the evacuation followed a phone threat. Students have been relocated to Wellington Elementary School as a precautionary measure. The school emphasized that all students are safe. Parents are being asked not to go to Wellington Elementary but will be allowed to pick up their children from the Rose Campus once the all-clear is issued. Both incidents remain under investigation, and law enforcement is working to ensure the safety of all involved. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
