One person hurt following crash in Wisconsin, one man arrested for OWI

VERONA, Wis. (WFRV) - Police in Wisconsin say one man was arrested for multiple charges including Operating While Intoxicated following a crash that sent one person to the hospital.
According to a release from the Verona Police Department, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night on County Highway PB near Rolling Oaks Lane.

Upon arrival, police found an SUV with heavy damage on its front end with the driver being unresponsive. Officers had to force entry into the vehicle and found the driver conscious and uninjured but also unable to get out of the vehicle on his own.
Authorities say they determined that the SUV was heading south on County Highway PB and wound up rear-ending a pickup truck causing it to run off the roadway.

The driver of the pickup truck reportedly suffered neck and spine injuries and was taken to a hospital by EMS.
Police say the driver of the SUV showed signs of being impaired and he was found to be in possession of a handgun.
Following a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, 36-year-old Ian Heinz from Belleville was arrested on the following charges:
Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated
Causing Injury and Going Armed While Intoxicated
