Officials say the new school will be just a one-floor building making it more accessible to students of all abilities.
The new school will have a capacity of around 600 students and is said to be a more environmentally friendly school.
This will be our first geothermal system in our district. So what that is, that's gonna use ground source heat pumps to heat our building. So we won't be using any fossil fuels or anything like that to heat our building. It'll xome from wells that we drill into the Earth, using the Earth's tmeperature to heat and cool our building.

Pulczinski says the Kennedy Elementary School will stay in session while the new school is built, something he hopes will be completed by the start of the 2026 school year.
