WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A high school student in Williamsburg County was arrested Thursday for having a gun on school grounds. Administrators at Kingstree High School discovered a gun in the student’s car during a search over a suspicious odor. “When inspecting the vehicle, an administrator found a firearm under the driver’s seat, along with a shell casing, a vape pen, and a small quantity of what appeared to be marijuana,” the Williamsburg County School District said. A school resource officer quickly arrested the student around 9:30 a.m. The district said the incident was limited to the school parking lot. The school did not go into lockdown and continued its regular schedule.
