AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A suspect in Austin's 58th homicide of the year was arrested this week by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, which is led by the United States Marshals.
According to US Marshals, Rudy Tito Zamora, 21, of Austin, was identified as a suspect wanted in connection with the homicide, which happened at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the 2600 block of Rosewood Avenue.
Matthew Escalante, 20, died in the incident, according to the Austin Police Department.
Attorney information was not yet available for Zamora Thursday, but KXAN will reach out to ask for a statement on his charges when that information becomes available. This story will be updated if we receive a response.

APD said officers responded to a call and found Escalante with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment but died Nov. 8, according to police.
APD said an investigation showed Escalante arrived to meet someone, but was shot by a suspect who then left the area with additional suspects.
US Marshals said APD obtained an arrest warrant for Zamora on Nov. 11 in the Austin Municipal Court and requested assistance from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to help locate and apprehend Zamora.
Members of the task force arrested Zamora without incident in the 8400 block of Fall Meadow Lane on Nov. 20.
Zamora was transported and booked into the Travis County Jail. He is being held without bond, according to jail records, and the US Marshals said he's awaiting "further judicial proceedings and extradition."
