Students attending The Ninth Grade Academy are making a fashion statement with see-through backpacks that improve school safety. “It’s like a new school policy that makes life easier going through metal detectors and getting into school. Plus, if something were to happen outside of school, the see-through bavkpack identifies us as Ninth Grade Academy students,” a teen at the Chambers St. school noted. Yes, just about all Ninth Grade Academy students have bought into the initiative as transparency adds another layer of safety.
