MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say a woman in the drive-through line at a South Memphis McDonald's was stabbed in the face with a screwdriver by a person demanding money.
The woman was at the McDonald's on Trezevant Street, near Lamar and Airways, around 4 Wednesday afternoon.
She told police she was at the speaker box to place her order when someone walked up to her window and asked if she had any money. She told them she didn't.
That's when police say the suspect pulled out what appeared to be a screwdriver and stabbed the woman in the face, telling her, "You should've had some money, *****."
Officers saw the suspect running north on Lamar and took her into custody as she pushed and kicked officers. She was not identified by police.
