Man shot while driving in Prince George's County; residents on edge

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Prince George's County said a man was shot while driving Wednesday afternoon.
The Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) said a man was shot in his car while he was driving on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Sheriff Road.
PGPD said the man is in stable condition.

Oscar, an employee who works as a mechanic at the nearby Shell gas station said he heard the gunshots while he was working on a car.
"We were working on cars, then all a sudden we heard about five shots going off and then a crash and that’s about all we heard then the police started arriving. It’s scary man you never know, some other people could have gotten shot and you never know what can happen," he said.
Joseph Pochini works down the road from where the shooting happened. He said he is concerned about the violence happening in a busy area.
“For someone like me who come this way for work every day, this is certainly something that is concerning that you could be at risk coming to and from work,” Pochini said.
PGPD said it is still investigating the shooting and looking for a motive.
