TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Tulare County Parks was given more than $300,000 to support projects focused on climate adaptation - enough to help them shade three playgrounds.
Tulare County Parks say they received a $379,000 grant from the California Extreme Heat and Community Resilience Program (EHCRP) and additional matching funds from the county.
"These investments are essential for building resilience, particularly for our most vulnerable populations who are disproportionately affected by heat waves,” said Tulare County General Services Agency Director, Brooke Sisk.
