Man hospitalized with serious injuries after Providence shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police said a male victim is in the hospital with serious injuries after a shooting on Chad Brown Street on Wednesday evening.
Police closed down a portion of a housing complex nearby, with officers looking closely at a car that crashed into a tree on the courtyard lawn.
“We believe [the victim] was in the vehicle when he was shot, and the vehicle rolled across the court into a tree,” Providence Police Major David Lapatin said.
Police said they were looking for a suspect Wednesday night.
