Fire crews knock down house fire in NW Oklahoma City

Officials say the fire was caused by a child playing with a lighter inside of the kitchen.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a house fire Wednesday night in NW Oklahoma City.
According to OKCFD, crews arrived to the house fire near NW 89th Street and N Classen Boulevard around 8:55 p.m.

Fire officials located the fire coming from inside the kitchen of the home and crews began knocking the fire down.
Residents inside of the home were able to evacuate safely and no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
