HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Sammy, a 1.5-year-old dog with a heart full of love, is still waiting for his forever family after being surrendered to the Maui Humane Society in May. Now, six months later, Sammy continues to dream of finding an ohana to call his own. Though Sammy can be a bit shy with new people and situations, he quickly warms up with patience and treats. Sammy is said to be a total treat lover and has a soft spot for other dogs. He loves running, playing, and cooling off in the pool with his canine companions. The Maui Humane Society is hopeful that Sammy will find a family willing to show him the love and joy he’s been waiting for. Sammy is ready to return that love tenfold to a home that will cherish him.
