ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Donations from Tops grocery stores, local law enforcement, and other parts of the community are helping fill bags today to prep for the Thanksgiving holiday! Nonprofit United and Healing Through Hope of Monroe County is collecting, sorting, and packing the donations at the Aenon Missionary Baptist Church. First Student Transportation is teaming up to help collect and deliver the items. The goal this year is 1,000 food baskets, but from the amount they say they are hoping to exceed it. After Wednesday's efforts, a follow-up pre-Thanksgiving dinner is set for Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to honor veterans and families affected by violence.
