(KRON) -- Investigators said a Mountain View barber is on the run after he was charged with sexually assaulting unconscious victims. Santa Clara County prosecutors described Franklin Enrique Sarceno Orla, 34, as a "serial sex predator" who targeted men. Orla videotaped many of his victims while he carried out sex crimes, according to prosecutors. "Sarceno Orla has fled, and law enforcement is also looking for information about his whereabouts," prosecutors wrote on Wednesday. "Evidence seized by police shows that the fugitive may have assaulted at least 20 different men, who appear to be passed out and/or severely intoxicated." The barber was initially arrested by Mountain View Police Department officers in August 2024. He posted $250,000 bail and was freed from custody. The barber fell under the radar of police when a victim reported Orla in July. A victim said he lost consciousness, and when he woke up, he was woozy and injured from a sexual assault, investigators said. A second victim, who said Orla was his barber, told police that he suddenly lost consciousness while they were drinking beers together. MVPD police suspect that the barber assaulted 20 different men within the past six years. Police are currently in the process of identifying victims from the videos. Victims appear to be unconscious or heavily intoxicated during the assaults, prosecutors said. Franklin Enrique Sarceno Orla's California driver's license photo was released by the SCCDAO. District Attorney Jeff Rosen said, "With the help of courageous victims, investigators, and the public we will soon have him in custody to keep him from ever hurting anyone again." Orla is charged with sexually assaulting two men, including one victim who was kidnapped. Attorneys for Bob Lee’s accused killer rest their case If convicted, Orla could face a life prison sentence. The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office did not name the business where he worked as a barber. Authorities said anyone who may have been victimized by Orla should contact police and their doctor to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases. You can call the Mountain View Police Department at 650-903-6618, or email Detective Lauren Riffel at [email protected], or email Detective Guillermo de Lira at [email protected].
