CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A man is expected to recover after suffering from a gunshot wound on Chicopee Street in Chicopee Wednesday afternoon. Portion of Chicopee Street closed after report of shots fired Chicopee Police Officer Travis Odiorne told 22News at around 2:39 p.m. a 911 caller reported that shots may have been fired in the area of Chicopee Street near the dry bridge. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in their leg. The shooting victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center and is expected to recover. No word on any arrests at this time.
