The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is now open. Rates for the new resort begin at $799 per night this winter. The hotel features direct access to Deer Valley Resort, including the upcoming expansion expected to open in December. “Grand Hyatt Deer Valley proudly welcomes visitors and the local community to experience this transformative moment for both the ski industry and the region,” said Anthony Duggan, area vice president and general manager of Grand Hyatt Deer Valley. “We’re committed to continuing to foster connections with local businesses and organizations, and together, we’ll offer our guests truly authentic experiences that highlight the best that our destination has to offer — from premium accommodations to exceptional dining and unforgettable outdoor adventures.”Lodging accommodationsThe resort features 381 guest rooms designed by Denver-based OZ Architecture, and the hotel said it draws inspiration from the region’s mining history and nearby Wasatch Mountains by incorporating a mix of metals and stone. Standard rooms feature “spacious layouts” with walk-in closets. 55 “premium” residential suites offer more space, with balconies, kitchenettes and fireplaces. All rooms are equipped with modern amenities, including 55-inch flat-screen HDTVs, Nespresso coffee makers, blackout curtains, individual climate control, hair dryers, bathrobes and minifridges. The resort said it also offers an array of amenities outside of the guestrooms, including a heated outdoor pool, three oversized hot tubs and a pool deck with mountain views and a nighttime entertainment program.Food and drinkThe resort touts its food and drink offerings. Led by Hyatt Chef Marc Marrone, Executive Chef Viktor Merenyi and New York City Mixologist Frank Maldonado, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley said its culinary concepts are distinct. Venues include Remington Hall, Hidden Ace, Living Room and Double Blacks. Remington Hall: An American dining restaurant that offers breakfast, brunch and dinner with views of the Jordanelle Reservoir. Notable dishes include takes on American classics, such as bison tartare with cured egg yolk and truffle aioli, and wild boar bolognese with house ricotta gnocchi, ricotta salata and aged balsamic. Guests can continue into the Lounge at Remington Hall with lunch and après-ski programming. There’s an adjacent sports green room, and the lounge has an array of bar bites, such as brie and cheddar fondue and caramelized onion dip served with chips and caviar.
Hidden Ace: The speakeasy-style Hidden Ace offers whisky-forward cocktails like the Western Whistle, which features Alpine Bourbon, apple liqueur, chamomile cordial, fresh lemon juice and egg white, along with bites such as fondue made with local cheeses and grilled bison filet. There’s also live music and DJ sets.
Living Room: Offering a family après experience, the Living Room features a grand fireplace. Guests can try “High Chocolate,” which the resort calls a “hot chocolate experience elevated to tea service perfection,” including tiered trays with hot chocolates, s’mores cookies, chocolate snowballs and other baked goods.
Double Blacks: The resort’s street-side coffee shop powered by Park City Coffee Roasters offers a bake shop program with house-made croissants, cacio e pepe rolls, beef bone broth consomme or dirty sodas. The resort said it features nearly 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including a 10,000-square-foot ballroom. There are “state-of-the-art facilities” with in-house audiovisual support, custom digital signage and a garage-style entrance for large displays and vehicles. There are also banquet menus and private breakout rooms.PROGRAMMING, PARTNERSHIPS + AMENITIESSalute to Service and MIDA Honoring Service Men and Women: The resort will offer discounts to service members on lodging, food and beverage. Additionally, The North Star Lounge provides a private retreat.
Deer Valley Skier Services and Helly Hansen Partnership: On-site skier services desk in collaboration with Deer Valley and partners with Ski Butlers offers a white-glove ski valet and rental experience. Additionally, the resort features a retail store stocked with gear from Helly Hansen.
Radio Flyer x Grand Hyatt Deer Valley: Guests can enjoy rides on electric bikes, as well as in the Voya Quad Stroller Wagons or on the Flyer Glider Pro.
Pet-Friendly Programming: In-room pet menu and a collaboration with area nonprofit Nuzzles & Co wherein the hotel will donate a portion of every pet fee to support the nonprofit’s mission of animal rescue and rehabilitation.
The Spa at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley: Opening mid-2025, the resort’s spa will offer “Haman-inspired,” holistic rituals and eastern-inspired services. Family friendly amenities Camp Hyatt Kids Club is on-site and features age-appropriate events and activities. For teens, the Nexus Lounge serves as a vibrant social hub, featuring arcade-style consoles and “interactive experiences.” Standard rooms are designed for families, with sleeper sofas in a separate living area, and residences offer more room.Opening packagesThe hotel is offering a Grand Opening Offer for qualifying stays now through March 31, 2025, which includes a $200 resort credit. Additional opening offers, such as the Pawsitive Pet Package, Family Package and special offers for Utah residents are also available while supplies last.
