Men convicted in 2019 Taunton killing sentenced to life in prison

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Two Massachusetts men who were convicted in a 2019 Taunton stabbing death were both sentenced to serve life in prison.
Jerome Middleton of Fall River and Khaylon Cruz of New Bedford were both found guilty of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Justin Paulo.
Middleton and Cruz stabbed Paulo while robbing him of his gold chain on Jan. 5, 2019.
Both men were sentenced to serve a life sentence with parole eligibility at 30 years for first degree murder, as well as a six-to-10 year sentence for armed robbery.
Middleton was already serving a nine-to-12 year sentence for an unrelated armed robbery charge.
