Teen arrested, admits to making false school threats: New Orleans police

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A teenager is in police custody, accused of making a false threat against a New Orleans area high school.
According to the New Orleans Police Department on Nov. 13, officers responded to a social media threat made towards Elenor McMain Secondary School in the 5700 block of South Claiborne Avenue.

An investigation was launched and on Nov. 19, a 15-year-old girl and her mother arrived at the police station to talk to detectives where she reportedly admitted to her involvement in the incident.
The teen was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center on a count of terrorizing.
This marks the seventh arrest made in school threat investigations.
No further details are available as the investigation remains ongoing.
