Indiana man sentenced to prison for illegal firearm possession in Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - Timothy M. O'Shea, the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin announced that a 21-year-old man from Indianapolis was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison for owning a firearm as a convicted felon.
Damarion Jackson was a passenger in a high-speed car chase in Monona, Wisconsin on Nov. 4 last year. Police officers disabled the car, and Jackson fled on foot with a small bag.

The bag contained a loaded handgun with a machinegun conversion device, which is an illegal after-market item that converts semi-automatic handguns into a fully functional machine gun.
Jackson is a previously convicted felon, which makes it illegal for him to own any type of firearm or ammunition.
