FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A three-story event and entertainment center in downtown Fort Wayne is making its long-awaited debut. The Fairfield The grand opening of The Fairfield is planned for January, but you don't have to wait that long to explore what the historic venue has to offer. After three years of renovations, the building is already starting to draw visitors eager for a new source of entertainment in Fort Wayne. The first floor of the building, located at 1510 Fairfield Ave., will house Pinhouse Social. It's a duckpin bowling experience scheduled to soft launch in late December. Once it's open, bowling hours will be Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. all the way to 12 a.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday until 10 p.m. The second floor holds Urban Golf, a membership-based simulator that opens Dec. 16. It will be open to the public from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Friday, with members-only hours starting at 8 a.m. On the weekends, the venue opens at 10 a.m., closing at 12 a.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday. Besides the three main attractions, another offering inside The Fairfield is expected to be announced in early 2025, according to the release. “In a 2021 survey conducted by UPSTAR and the National Association of Realtors, in collaboration with the City of Fort Wayne, Community Research Institute at Purdue Fort Wayne, and Greater Fort Wayne Inc., we found that young professionals in the Fort Wayne area ranked having more fun things to do downtown—especially at night—as one of the top three drivers of improved quality of life,” said Ellen Cutter, Chief Economic Development Officer at Greater Fort Wayne Inc. “It’s so encouraging to see local entrepreneurs stepping up to invest in our community. Fairfield Ventures LLC’s development not only enhances quality of life for residents but supports Allen County’s growing tourism and convention industries as well.”
