Local Living on ABC Columbia brought to you by MUSC Health   COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, don’t miss the 39th annual Vista Lights event. The signature open house features more than 60 galleries, shops, and restaurants. There will also be live entertainment and performances to get people into the holiday spirit. The event takes place on Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Lincoln and Gervais Streets.   You can get into the Christmas spirit with Riverbanks Zoo’s Wild Lights event. It’s open tonight through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be open through January 12. You and the family can enjoy more than 60 handcrafted wildlife lantern displays, plenty of holiday activities and visits with Santa. Tickets are available online.   The City of Columbia is hosting its annual “Dr. Martin Luther King Honor The Dream” Food Drive. Richland School District One and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Foundation are also taking part. Some requested items include canned fruit, and vegetables, dry goods, and canned meats. The event runs through November 22.   You can also donate to the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs and Harvest Hope’s Thanksgiving Food Drive form now until Friday, November 22. You can drop off the items at the department’s headquarters on Saint Julian Place. It all goes to Harvest hope to support Veterans and their families in need.
