BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Wyoming County man pleaded guilty to the transportation of child pornography and allegedly had a pattern of sexually abusing or exploiting a minor, the United States Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.
Officials said in February 2018, a 15-year-old female victim said she was sexually abused by 44-year-old Shayne Hildreth of Eagle, N.Y., and that she saw child pornography on his cell phone.
Law enforcements seized and searched Hildreth's cell phone, allegedly finding 12 images of child pornography. Authorities said he was also involved in sexual contact with a minor on two separate occasions.
The charge of transporting child pornography carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of 20 years and a $250,000 fine.
Hildreth's sentencing is scheduled for May 23, 2025.
