State canvassing board certifies general election results

BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — The North Dakota State Canvassing Board has certified the results of the 2024 General Election, confirming that the victors have officially been elected to their positions.
According to a press release from the North Dakota Secretary of State, election results reviewed during the State Canvassing Board's recent meeting were submitted by the 53 county canvassing boards — all of which are responsible for reviewing results for all contests on the ballot from each precinct in their domain within 13 days after the election.

In addition, the demand recount threshold has been met for two positions in the ND House of Representatives. Both David Brien of District 9 and Mary Adams of District 18 may request demanded recounts, but they must be requested within four days of the meeting.
The State Canvassing Board will reconvene on December 2nd at 10:00 a.m. During this meeting, they will address the results of any automatic recounts, as well as any potential requested demand recounts.
