ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man has been accused of robbing a bank on University Avenue last week, according to the Rochester Police Department. On November 14 at 1:26 p.m., an individual went inside the Key Bank and showed the teller a note demanding cash. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect ran away. Andre Jones, 53, was identified by RPD as the suspect in the robbery. He was arrested Tuesday night and was charged with third-degree robbery. Police say he may face more federal charges due to his criminal history, which includes five felony and 17 misdemeanor convictions. Jones was arraigned in Rochester City Court Wednesday morning and is being held without bail.
