Dine 909: These new restaurants have opened in San Bernardino, Ontario, Redlands and Loma Linda

By the time you read this, the new San Bernardino Panera Bread should be open, as it was set to open Wednesday, Nov. 20.
The new location, 4268 North Varsity Ave., is the third and final eatery planned for the new University Crossings development, following a recently–opened Dutch Bros Coffee and Chick-fil-A.
The location is hosting a giveaway of a year’s worth of free “You Pick Two” meals for the first 100 customers on Wednesday.
Hours are 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Cheliz expands
Cheliz Restaurant has opened its third location.
The new location is at 541 N. D St., San Bernardino, the former longtime home of the Yum Yum Restaurant.
Hours are 7 a.m.-2 p.m. daily.
The new location joins existing ones in Redlands and Highland.
New in Ontario
A couple of new restaurants have opened in Ontario.
Big Island Hawaiian BBQ is open at 4880 S. Motor Lane, Suite C.
The restaurant offers Hawaiian-inspired entrées, including chicken, pork, beef and seafood plates, Loco Moco and musubi.
Big Island also offers fried rice and chow mein, plus a variety of salads and burgers.
Hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Phở K Plus Vietnamese Cuisine is now open at 720 Archibald Ave., Suite A.
It replaces another Asian eatery, China Wok Mongolian BBQ.
The restaurant offers Vietnamese dishes, including phở, rice and noodle plates, porridge, bánh mi, salads and vermicelli plates.
Hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
New in Redlands
Krak Boba continues to expand across the Inland Empire.
A new location has opened at 410 Orange St., Suite B.
Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The new location joins those in Riverside, Moreno Valley, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Eastvale, Corona and Menifee.
New locations are coming to Rialto and Temecula.
Open in Loma Linda
Borahae Cafe has opened in Loma Linda.
The restaurant offers Filipino rice bowls along with tea and coffee drinks.
Hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.
Borahae Cafe is at 24950 Redlands Blvd., Suite K.

The chain is giving its My McDonald’s Rewards members the chance to buy a 10-piece McNuggets for just a buck.
The deal is valid once a week through Dec. 2.
The McDonald’s app is available for iOS and Android.
Sorry, we’re closed
Isabella’s Ristorante Italiano is closing after nearly 30 years in Redlands.
The restaurant, 330 N. Sixth St., Suite 112, will host its last dinner service starting at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.
Reservations are recommended during the restaurant’s last week.
However, all is not lost.
Isabella’s Trattoria opened this summer at 12045 Fifth St., Suite F, Yucaipa.
The new restaurant is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and dinner starting at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Any gift certificates from the Redlands location will be honored at the Yucaipa one.
Also in Redlands, reader KR reports that the Huicho’s Tacos location on Orange Street has closed.
The location opened a little over a year ago.
The original location remains open at 416 W. Colton Ave., Redlands.
