CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Cunningham Recreation, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region, will transform a space at The Meadows at Plato Price into a vibrant “pocket park” for play. Volunteers will build a playground unit and install site amenities from the ground up as part of a community development project aimed at providing affordable homeownership and a welcoming gathering space for local families. What: This effort is part of Habitat Charlotte Region’s new 39-home community on land that was once home to the Plato Price school, a historically significant site. Cunningham Recreation, a Charlotte-based company, has donated both the playground equipment and installation costs through its Cunningham Gives Back program. The project is part of a broader initiative to provide safe, accessible play spaces for children and strengthen the local community. Cunningham Recreation is committed to giving back and supporting organizations that create lasting, positive impact for families.
