‘Of the Black Sea’ Film Screening Gregory Mountain Products will sponsor a screening of J SKIS’ “Of the Black Sea” at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium. The documentary is a story of heritage and skiing in the Republic of Türkiye, filmed by Turkish-American pro-skier Hennie van Jaarsveld and J Skis engineer Giray Dadali. The film won best storytelling at the International Freesports Film Festival and is now touring the US. The event will feature an appearance by Turkish artist Pinar Birim. Main St. “Rebecca,” based on the Gothic novel by Daphne du Maurier, focuses on a vulnerable young woman (Joan Fontaine) who marries a brooding aristocrat (Laurence Olivier), only to find that her husband and his estate are haunted by the memory of his dead first wife, Rebecca. Students will leave their session with polished and personal statements for the Common App, or finalized supplemental essays. The cost is $50 for a two-hour intensive writing session.
