SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A Chatham County jury found a 20-year-old man guilty of murder on Friday, the Chatham County District Attorney's (DA) Office said.
Jamary Isaiah Brown, 20, of Savannah, Georgia, was found guilty of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, cruelty to children in the first degree and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, the DA's Office said.
The DA's Office said that charges stem from the Dec. 6, 2021, shooting at Chatham City Apartments where Brown shot and killed 16-year-old Amarian Robinson.
Brown faces a potential sentence of life without parole and will be sentenced at a later date, they said.
The case was tried by Assistant DA Casey Blount and investigated by the Garden City Police Department (GCPD). DA Shalena Cook Jones said that she commends Assistant DA Blount and the GCPD for their efforts in securing this conviction and delivering justice for Amarian Robinson’s family and the people of Chatham County.
