MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- An 18-year-old accused of leading police on a chase in Northeast Memphis Sunday while in a stolen vehicle filled with guns is now in jail.
A little before 11 p.m. on Nov. 17, troopers received a Be-On-The-Lookout regarding a stolen Nissan Altima in the area of Reese Road and Whitten Road.
The trooper says when they responded to the area, they saw the vehicle on Reese Road just west of Appling Road stopped on the side of the road. The suspect was behind the vehicle and had just removed the license plate.
The suspect jumped into the vehicle when the trooper was spotted and the driver sped off going east on Reese Road, according to reports.

When the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle refused to stop. That is when a vehicle pursuit began.
During the chase, reports state the trooper drove on the side of the vehicle and was able to get a "good look" at the individuals inside.
The chase lasted until they got to the area of West Shelby Drive and Horn Lake Road where the individuals got out of the vehicle and ran on foot.
After a brief foot pursuit, one of the suspects was caught and identified as 18-year-old Davion Payne.

Man, girl injured after shooting in Southeast Memphis
The vehicle was reported stolen, along with three rifles and a handgun found inside.
Payne is charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm dangerous felony, and evading arrest.
He is held in jail on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday morning.
