INDIANAPOLIS -- Governor-elect Mike Braun's transition team recently announced the schedule for his inauguration festivities early next year. According to a news release, Braun's inauguration ceremony will be at 11 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2025 at the Hilbert Circle Theatre, located at 45 Monument Circle. Doors open for the free event at 9:30 a.m. and attendees will be able to RSVP here. Braun was elected as Indiana's 52nd governor earlier this month, defeating Jennifer McCormick, the Democratic candidate and the state's former superintendent of public instruction, as well as Donald Rainwater, the Libertarian candidate. Gov.-elect Mike Braun announces formation of transition councils The ceremony will include the inaugurations for Braun, Micah Beckwith, the state's Republican lieutenant governor-elect, as well as Todd Rokita, the state's Republican attorney general. "This is a special opportunity to celebrate the future of Indiana and the leaders who will champion our state’s values and vision," Beckwith said in a post about the ceremony. Officials with the inauguration team also provided a schedule for other events that will celebrate the new gubernatorial ticket. Those events include: Reception and gala on Jan. 11, 2025, a ticketed event Mass at 10 a.m. on Jan. 12, 2025 at SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral, at 1347 N Meridian St. Hoosier Heritage Family Day on Jan. 12, 2025 at the Indiana State Museum, located at 650 W Washington St. First Lady's Breakfast honoring Indiana's female entrepreneurs at 9 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2025, a ticketed event For more information on the schedule for the inaugural festivities, click here.
