COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–We have an update on the escaped monkeys out of Yemassee. It’s a story we’ve followed for nearly two weeks. The Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center says they captured two more monkeys on Monday. Police say 39 out of the 43 primates that escaped, have been safely captured. The research center says those still on the loose have not gone far from the facility. The monkeys escaped back on November 6 after a keeper left their pen open.
