Washington, D.C. (CNN) –South Carolina Representative Nancy Mace introduced a resolution to ban transgender women from using women’s restrooms in US capitol buildings. Mace is pushing for the ban less than two months before America’s first out transgender person enters Congress. Sarah McBride will be sworn-in in January as a new representative from Delaware. Mace says McBride is a biological man who does not belong in women’s spaces. In response, McBride said this was an attempt to distract from the real problems Americans are facing.
