Power Rangers are helping this Clovis comic book store after a breakin

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Celebrities have signed autographs at Legends Comics and Games before, but now a pair of Power Rangers will literally be coming to help following an attempted break-in at the Clovis location.
Staff at Legends Comics say that actors from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series, former Red Ranger Steve Cardenas and former Yellow Ranger Karen Ashley, heard about the attempted break-in and wanted to help. The actors will be donating the proceeds from the in-store signing in Clovis to pay for Legends Comic's broken glass door.
Legends Comics and Games brings Central Valley flair to NYCC
"We're out here to tell people the Central Valley is strong in every way," said Andy Cazares from Legends Comics and Games.
Cazares says with every trip taken by staff at Legends Comics, they meet more fellow comic book fans and celebrities. Sometimes they connect with those celebrities and their agents - and those connections lead to events like the autograph signing.
According to Cazares, the day after the break-in attempt, he heard from his fellow staff members who were at New York City Comic Con that Steve Cardenas and Karen Ashley had heard about the situation at the Clovis store and wanted to help.
"Rocky and Aisha, came by to our booth and they wanted to come by and sign autographs to help us out with that situation," Cazares said.
Cazares says he still gets star-struck every time a celebrity signing at Legends Comics comes around.
"I've been doing these for about five years now, and you think I'd be kind of like a veteran at this point," Cazares said. "I still freak out every single time."
On Sunday, Nov. 30, fans are invited to Legends Comics' Clovis location as Steve Cardenas and Karen Ashley sign autographs in the broken door fundraiser. Cazares says everyone who attends the autograph signing and donates is just as much a hero as the Power Rangers.
"The community is what really brings us in," Cazares said. "It just feels good every single time."
The broken-door fundraiser will be at the Clovis location of Legend's Comics and Games (1752 Clovis Avenue) on Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
