CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The superintendent of Clovis Unified School District says she is confident that voters have approved the $400 million bond measure designed to support the district over the next 25 years. The announcement follows a Monday update of vote numbers from the Fresno County election office, which shows 57.4% in favor of Measure A, against 42.6% against. Measure A closer to passing, would mean $400M for Clovis Unified "These results show that voters support us in our commitment to keeping our school facilities first class for our students and staff," said Superintendent Dr. Corrine Folmer in a statement released Monday evening. "The passing of Measure A also indicates how important our students’ education is to our community and reflects the longstanding partnership between our District and the families we serve." In the statement, Dr. Folmer also cited how important the bond measure is to finish Clovis South High School. "This was a pivotal moment for our schools and the passage of Measure A secures a stable path into the future for our district. For that, we are incredibly thankful to everyone who cast a yes vote in this election," said Dr. Folmer. According to the California Secretary of State's Office, the final day for counties to certify election results is Dec. 5.
